door hinge grease

i have a little groan on my driver door, what kind of grease are we supposed to run?

PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench. One short blast and a few door open/closes to work it in. It lasts about a year before I have to repeat the 5 minute procedure.

I use a spray white lithium grease. It has a thin nozzle tube (like what you get with WD-40), so it can be sprayed directly into the hinge

WD-40 is a water displacer. The amount of oil that lubricates is less than 25% of the spray. Here's more info, scroll down to "Function" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WD-40

That's what I use except the CRC brand.

Might try that 3 in 1.. Looks like it might work better.

I use wd40 to clean and get moisture out then fresh grease always worked well for me.

That's a good idea with the WD40.

Trial and error. If I grease the moisture in there in the winter my locks still freeze.

Yes this! I used white lithium grease and it didn’t last at all. Sprayed rem oil on it hunting season(November) at camp and it hasn’t made a noise since.
