The dashboard light that signifies that there is a door ajar, stays on all the time. Which in turn, keeps my interior lights on all the time, which is very distracting during night driving. Also, the little light does not identify the specific door that is causing the problem. Has anyone had this issue, and what was the fix? Could this be a fuse? I am trying to reduce my costs on this one before I take it in.

My door-ajar light staying on in my truck turned out to be a faulty door latch sensor. Sometimes the wiring within the door can break or wear out, especially on older models. If you are comfortable with a bit of DIY, checking the wiring and latch assembly could save you some cash. Otherwise, a mechanic might be able to confirm it’s just a minor fix. When I had to replace my door light, it was not too complicated but did involve removing some panels, so patience and the right tools helped.

First find out which door is causing the issue. Not sure how to do that, but, it beats taking all the doors apart. no?
