Hello all, hoping to get sum info or answers. My 2014 1500 CC 2wd has had a slight vibration for a while now. It’s noticable from 50-70mph, but the other day picked it up to 90 and had to let off because of the vibration.
Tires have been balanced.
Question, should the front of my driveshaft have any kind of play to it?????? I am able to slightly push it up.

If you are able to push up the driveshaft and see the ujoints move, you need to change them. Does the vibration go away when you let up on the gas?

I would be suspicious of tires or wheels.

If u joints seem tight feel them after a good run and see if either joint feels hot . Thats another indicator. Some times its simpler to just change the joints . Then you know it isn't them .

If the vibration is high in frequency, changes when you let off the gas, and you have any play in your u-joints, I would suspect the u-joint. If the vibration is lower in frequency and doesn't change with speed or on/off the gas pedal, I would look at your tires.

From your description, look at your driveshaft... U-joints are most likely the issue.

Don't forget that your CV joint also has two u-joint crosses -plus- a center pin and rotating "eye-ball" bearing. The CV center joint is often overlooked. If the pin wears out, it can only be replaced by cutting the CV off the drive shaft and welding on a new CV. Any reasonable driveshaft shop should be able to totally shotgun all your U-joints and even replace the CV for under $400...

I recently had my front driveshaft totally rebuilt with Spicer greasable u-joints and CV joint. The shop charged me $380. The local Dodge dealer wanted $1100...
