Hi, all. I have a 2014 2500 CC with a 6.4 motor and 6ft4in bed. i am looking to put a Zone 5.5in lift with clocking the t-case on with 37's or adding a level on top with 40's. I talked with a shop today about this and they said their experience with anything 6 inch and over has been that there might be a vibration in 4wd even with the t-case index. I will be driving this truck through PA winters so this will be a concern.

Who has any input on front driveline vibration?

Driveline vibrations have a lot to do with choice of wheel and tire configuration. The question is- is the truck your daily driver? Will it see heavy off-road use? I wouldn’t do a 40” tire on something you’re driving all the time. A nice 37” X 13.5 Toyo R/T would probably be the go to. We have not had any issues at our shop with going 6” on any trucks.

Well. If it’s going 5.5” lift I doubt it’s off-roading very hard. The front driveshaft don’t turn unless engaged. So normal driving it will not spin. If you hardly use 4wd and it’s very occasional I doubt you’d notice anything. Now if you wheel a lot it could pose a problem. But so can 5.5” of lift.

No off-roading will be done with this truck but it will see snow at excessive speeds. I didn't see many vibration problems with front driveshaft posted so this seems to be a non issue.
