Check the rubber weather strip at the inside edge of the door. It's that. Not the hinges. It dries, stiffens and flares from the edge rubbing the body. I watched it very carefully with a head lamp and after lubricating repeatedly, as the rubber doesn't immediately behave, it stops the ungodly creak sound that any type, frequency or intensity of lubing the mechanicals didn't phase. All these other solutions just eventually bled to the problem which was the same initially in my case. Trust me it's the rubber rubbing it's thick, stiff, dried out and rubs metal. that's why it would always come back, be very hard to eradicate as in other posts. If it was the hinge, any good grease and it would stop.
