I purchased a 2017 ram 1500 last week. Two days after I purchased it, the front windows stopped working. The door locks stopped working, and the power mirrors stopped working as well. Only the rear windows would work on the master switch. All the other switches in the vehicle still work like they should. I have read several places that this is a common issue and that I just need to replace the master module.

I am having a difficult time finding one that specifically fits my vehicle. I’m also having a hard time finding one with positive reviews. Any suggestions? Are the switches the same on all 4th gen Rams?

Are you looking for the switch panel or the door module? They are two separate items. The Module is inside the door (small flat box about 3-4" square, body harness, mirrors harness and switch panel all plug into it.) The switch panel is the actual switches in the armrest on the door pannel. I've never heard of it being common for either to go though, not on the 4th Gens. Not to say that either couldn't go bad. I don't think anyone except OEM makes the modules. There are a bunch of cheap Chinese made versions of the switch panel, I havn't heard good things about any of them. If you've got a salvage yard nearby, you might want to check with them to see if you can get an OEM one for less. Otherwise give Benny at @AllMoparParts.com here a shout with your VIN and he'll get you the right part number and (probably) the best price you'll find for a new OEM part. I replaced both of my front door modules and the driver's switch panel when I upgraded to power folding tow mirrors and I got them from Benny. (Along with quite a few other parts at this point).

BTW: Did you purchase it from a dealer or private sale? If from a dealer I'd think you'd be within some sort of warranty to get it fixed.

Thank you for the reply. I purchased the vehicle from an individual. The switches I’m talking about are the actual physical switches on the door panel. The only two switches that actually work or the rear windows. All the other buttons stopped working at the same time. I have seen many of these window modules for sale online for about $30, but many of the reviews say that the module works for a couple of days and then stops working all of a sudden.

If your looking for the switches on the driver's door, this is the "upgrade" part number that guys have been buying: 68319803AA
This one the door mirror buttons light up, for some strange reason the factory ones Ram uses don't.
You could try contacting Benny @ AllMoparParts.com for pricing (forum vendor).

You may have checked this already, but I believe your year has two connectors on the switch panel. Have you opened the door up and made certain that both are firmly seated, have no corrosion, etc?

There was only one connector. I found a part on eBay that looks exactly like mine. I should get it next week and hopefully that will be the fix.
