Driver's Seat Flap?

Guys, I have a 2018 Ram Laramie 2500 w/Cummins. The Driver's seat has a slotted flap at the bottom front that looks like something should slide into it. Not an issue but the slot/bar is plastic and the edge of it scratches the crap out of my leg when I'm driving in shorts. I tucked it up under the seat cover, but it falls back out in a short order. Anyone know if it is used for an extension or something? Passenger seat does not have it. They are factory seats and covers.

IF i recall correctly, the front, back, & sides have flaps
Those flaps have clips that hold everything in place up under the seat.

Watch one or two youtube videos on upholstery of Ram trucks
