dying

98 Ram 1500 5.9 will run about a mile on most cold mornings then just die as a try to turn. It has fired up again after a few minutes of constant trying. Any ideas?

Crank sensor is my first thought. When it dies and won't start check for spark and fuel pressure. If no spark but you have fuel look towards the crank sensor spark but no fuel check fuel pump relay and pump itself. If you have neither check ASD relay
