kinda on topic i had a 300c car still miss it did a before and after with a tuner. lots of people mix up dyno results .

run without the tuner 250 hp at the wheels . did a tuner 257 hp at the wheels . only a gain of 7 hp !!??? WRONG did the same run with same rpm range . at 3400 rpm With the tune it went up 16 hp and 19 torqu. from stock .if you add something its not always adding to peak hp. keep that in mind!

I stopped using dynos to measure performance a long time ago because there are just too many ways to manipulate the numbers. The dragstrip is my preferred method of measuring performance.

If you want to find out which mods are giving the best gains, then take a look at the fastest trucks list and see what the guys are running. The best combination you will find is a Vararam or other ram air based intake, longtube headers, custom tune, 4.10 or 4.56 gears, and a 2800+ stall converter. The throttle body, electric fan, underdrive pulley, and catback/muffler swap are all nice mods as well, but will not show as much of a gain as the few that I listed first.

Some one please find me a video of a 6.4 on a dyno... PLEASE .. I can't find one anywhere.. if I live in a city I would gladly **** away 100$ for 3 pulls to see where my truck truly is. Also I wish I had the abundance of parts you 5.7 guys have.. but I think most of the 6.4 challenger parts would bolt right up" motor parts" Sorry for jacking this thread.

I agree that there are not a lot of dyno results on here, by members or manufactures. However, I don't feel like dyno numbers always tell the whole story. As we all know there are so many variables. I agree with Matt about how 1/4 mile times tell a better story. It's still not the best guaranteed answer, but it works for me. Plus modding your truck is just cool.

OP wants this to be like the muscle car community. The number of people tuning/modding is much slimmer obviously and the select few who do it know what they're doing and don't dyno/post results after everything.

You have a Ford Whipple kit on your Mustang? Did you install it yourself? If you did you'd know enough about modding V8s to know the route you should take and what doz told you was right.

my 2013 express truck with a vararam and magnaflow 14" made 299/304 on a mustang Dyno...after longtubes, full exhaust and tune...im guessing in the 340-350rwhp range?...but pull wayyy harder than stock. Mostly from the headers/tune.
