Hard starting issue.
Living on island it get pretty damp in morning.
I've been getting it started by holding gas to floor, eventually she kicks over.
Only happens in morning, first start,ok the rest of day.
What the trouble shooting protocol?

I don’t have an answer but it may help if you give everyone the year of your truck along with the engine your truck has. Think it would be a different troubleshooting process for Cummins vs Gas

If it's fuel injected, you shouldn't touch the gas petal upon starting. The days of holding the Petal to the floor ended with carburators. I'm surprised it starts at all the way you're doing it.

Miles on engine? Miles on plugs? The initial dampness accompanying the issue suggests ignition.

Holding the pedal down on a fuel injected engine puts it into a clear floor mode. It’s used if the engine has been cranked over for a long time and hasn’t started. Since the engine is now flooded with fuel, the clear flood mode will allow it to start by reducing the injector pulse to allow the engine to start.

Thanks for posting that. It's really interesting to me that the engineers preserved that function for the fuel injected engines.

Thanks for update.
I'm going to change out plugs and wires, cant hurt.
What plug would you use on a 360 with 80k.
Any recommendations on wire set to use?
