I recently sold my chevy 2500 with a 2" hitch that I had a eazlift elite setup with an 8" drop.

My 2024 pw hitch has a 2.5 " receiver and is the same hitch height as my chevy.

I did purchase the ram 2" to 2.5" adapter and it fits perfectly with no slop.

Question, should I keep eazlift wdh since I won't get much when selling it or sell it?

I do have a 2" b&w, 8" drop to tow my 5x8 aluminum cargo trailer and 16ft tilt 5k max trailer.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I bought an Anderson WDH for my 1500 then promptly sold it for my PW after bringing the camper home. Works fine with the 2" to 2.5" adapter. I would say keep it if you have a use for it. The PW is a little soft with a load so the WDH (and air bags) helps level you out a bit.

I have been pulling our 35' TT on a 2" shank WDH with a 2-2.5 adapter since 2018. No issues with walloping, there's a BIT of rattle over big bumps but that's about it.

If you've got room to keep your WDH, I'd hang on to it, just in case you ever need it. If you don't, or don't ever plan on using it again, you could get rid of it, but remember that you'll probably only get $150-200 out of it.

My 2022 2500 Laramie 6.4L came with a 2.5 to 2 inch adapter. The trucks owners manual specifically says that using the adapter does not reduce the capacity of the hitch.

While they do make 10,000#/2" ball mounts, many times a 2" ball mount in an adapter for a 2.5" Class V receiver will limit you to 7500# because you dropped down in shaft diameter. Obviously this is not always the case. My receiver is rated at 20,000#, but my salesman gave me a 2" adapter so I could immediately start using it to tow with the ball and ball mount I already had. Both the ball and mount are only rated for 7.5k#. Looking around, I did find a couple 2" mounts that were 10k# rated and I may end up buying one eventually, but for now I am limited to 7.5k# even though my rated tow cap is 15.5k#.

While this is generally true, most 2" balls are not rated much over 7500 lbs, the B&W Tow & Stow with a 2" shank is rated to 10k.

I tow my 30’ TT with a 2” shank eazlift and adaptor also with no issues.
Same here. Already had a hitch (eazlift R6) with a 2" shank from my days with a Sierra 1500 when I upgraded to my Ram 2500. I have kept using the hitch with the adapter that came with my truck. No problems. This is with a 30 foot TT that's about 7600# loaded.
