New to the site. I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Eco-Diesel with about 106k miles. About 18 months ago our local Dodge dealership completed the W58 recall and reflashed the PCM. Driving home the other day, experienced an immediate loss of power and my truck threw warning bells and the check engine light came on. Hooked the truck up to a code reader that said it was the loss of crank position (P0336). I asked the dealership about it and they said since they “fixed” it any new repairs would be out of my pocket. Broke college student here, and a little frustrated that their fix of just bypassing the system didn’t work so now I am on the hook for the repairs and it sounds like it's going to be an expensive repair. The truck is out of warranty. Please advise.

If there repair was directly meant to address this and failed there should be a 2 year warranty on their parts and usually labor too (from the dealer). @RamCares may be able to assist since it was work done in conjunction with a recall...

Sounds like you're trying to connect the PCM reflash that was performed a year and a half ago with a trouble code that just popped up. I guess it's worth a try but I don't see you having much success with this. Maybe if it had happened right after the reflash, but not 18 months later.
