Eibach install

Finally completed by Eibach install with 4 new springs and struts/shocks. Replaced any suspension part that had to be removed in the process. Using only hand tools this job took me close to 2.5 days. I think I spent 8 hrs just getting the old strut nuts off. Used a Shankly spring compressor and it did great! I took all center of hub to fender before/after measurements, but can’t find my notes . End result is 40.5” rear and 39” front ground to fender.

Overall, I’m happy. The kit was under $600 shipped and I knew I wasn’t in the market for bigger tires any time soon. Told my wife I’m not sure the effort was worth the result lol. Still looks like it could be stock to me. ‍

I think that’s because it’s harder to see the difference with stock wheel/ tires set, and the color of the wheel wells vs tire. Just a lighting issue. Looking close enough you can see the larger opening afterwards

Looks good. I can definitely tell it has a lift. Looks subtle but its noticeable.

Oh a lot, maybe 3/4” or more? I really had to compress the spring to be sure it was tightening down on the shaft properly. After it was tight I compressed the spring just a little bit more to be sure. If anything, I would have erred by over compressing the spring.

Thats what I needed the remove the rear driver side shock. It’s really tight due to the gas tank

A few minutes with a welder and a short chunk of 1/8" X 1.5" flat bar would turn the original upper nuts into a captured nut,lol
