That reminds me of Automotive waste.

Here in San Diego, there is a Shipping Company, they own several Cargo Ships, they also own a Fleet of Auto Transporters, ( 18 wheelers ).

Anyone moving to places like Hawaii & Guam usually take a car or pickup with them.
IF the vehicles happen to be in an vehicle disabling accident, they have to be shipped back to the USA, because over on those islands, there are no auto wrecking yards.

I would have to think, that once onshore, some company could reheat the wafers, add some coloring, & make things like those sturdy Park Benches & Tables.

They can. *IF* the plastic is sorted. If it's not, then it's not very solid structurally due to the different characteristics of different plastics.

You see them in zoos, theme parks, places that are willing to spend extra to be perceived as more environmental. They are nearly always made with milk jug plastic, as the characteristics are amenable to that task. Water bottles go to stuffed toy stuffing. But, ****** plastic remains cheaper in most instances so it never goes mainstream.

When I was a kid all soda bottles were glass, deposits were charged and bottles were returned or collected by scavengers and returned. Now they are telling us what kind of bags, thin then thick, washable during a drought! Now mandating how we cook, California puts a surcharge on a building permit for installation of pipes for gas or LPG. They can go to he!!. I use firewood to heat from my property or from the almond trees they replace every 25 years. LPG heats my water and is available for my heated floors, I take a shower as long as I want, I have a well, no meter and no one’s business. I have Diesel and gas trucks and many tractors (pre smog only) I use around my property and maintaining the road. That sick greasy haired dictator means nothing to me. He can GTH.
