On the red overhead connector does anyone have the pin out diagram? As I see reading this thread there are 5 pins used. Ignition power in, ground, illumination, and two supply wires going to the window motor. I would like to know what pins or wire colors are what?

ground (black) = 1
Power + (tan/brown) = 2
Ign On/Run (pink/yellow)= 4
Illumination (orange/gray)= 5
Power - (tan/orange) = 6

I added the over console and wiring last year. I had the back glass installed today. I thought I had the connector to go to the motor for the back glass but apparently do not. Do you guys know if it ties into the plug on the driver or passenger side C Pillar?

this is my passenger c pillar area. I think I should have wiring that runs from here to the connector on the motor that I’m missing.

So, I bought the correct wiring repair kit for connecting the overhead harness to the slider motor. Trying to figure out how to wire it up now.

I’m assuming these terminals slide into the appropriate spots in the plug in the passenger side c pillar.

this is the back half of the plug for the motor.

and the front half. Does this side need to also have the terminal in it? And I then splice the wires together to make the two plugs connected ?

Feeling that this is probably pretty simple and I’m making it much harder than necessary....

Did you have the window switch plug up in the overhead already? Looks like you are already wired for the + and - window motor wiring.

I am not familiar with the repair kit (haven’t seen it in person) but I have made my own. You should be able to connect the terminals to the connector and then run the wiring to your passenger c-pillar. You need to connect to the tan/brown and tan/orange wires in the connector. Not sure if the kit gives you the terminals to wire into that c-pillar connector or not.

Finally got it all wired up correctly. When I bought my overhead console it came with the wiring harness out of a bighorn. However, my truck being a Tradesman did not have the correct wiring at any of the terminals. I ended up separating the wiring harness. I ran the tan/orange and tan/brown wires (+/- power for rear window) to the passenger C Pillar and spliced them into the wiring harness for the window motor. I pulled the B (ground) Yellow/pink (power) and Orange/brown (switch illumination) from the harness and ran them down the driver side A pillar. I attached the black ground wire to the ground nut behind the driver side kick panel. I spliced the orange/brown illumination wire to the wire behind the headlight switch. I spliced the pink/yellow power wire to the wire behind the cigar lighter (easiest to access by pulling the radio bezel and drawer bezel below it).

I ended up swapping the wires on the window motor that way the window travelled the same direction as the switch.

Does anyone know what this connector is for ?

Could it be wiring for the lights that i have seen mounted in the bottom of the rear seats ?

Good afternoon, has anyone done this to a newer ram? I have 2021 ram 2500. I miss the sliding rear window. Is the wiring the same color? Any help would be appreciated.

@Ricks Ram, check out my latest harness. I added a T-connector to tap off the cup holder light for the illumination wire. Other than that connector being a royal pain to disconnect from the light, it’s pretty much a plug and play harness.
