I just checked on Mopar's site for recalls on my truck using the VIN and it reported no recalls are outstanding. Hmmmm... Will I get a letter in a few weeks about this one? I guess I will wait and see.

55B. got my letter a few weeks ago. have not decided what I will do yet. the letter also says I still need to get Y43 done but when I run my vin, it does not show that one as open. a check today does not show Y43 open but does show 55B and 66B for my vin. 66B has something to do with backup camera view.

66B has to do with a backup camera fix but mine works fine so I am reluctant to take it in and them screw something up.

Why is the 2020 excluded from the ESC recall?
That’s a mystery, I can’t see how it shouldn’t be included.
The recall says that it expects 100% of 2019, and 2021-2024 vehicles to be affected. It gives the three ABS module part numbers that are affected- one is for the TRX, one is for 1500 equipped with adaptive cruise, and one is for 1500 not equipped with adaptive cruise. 2020’s use the exact same ABS module part numbers and software calibrations as the other years.

I just got a email from Consumers Report in the US listing 19-24 yr of Ram recalled for esc needing a software update.
The article says 1.2 Million Ram Pickup trucks.

Maybe the same fellow that programed this in the first place is the same fellow that typed up the recall. C.R. also says 19,21-24

I finally logged into the Ram app and 1 recall for ABS is present for my 23.

I have an existing appointment at the dealership tomorrow to look at my brakes, every once in a while when braking I hear a strange noise under the hood, sounds like a moan. Definitely not the pads, more like a pump noise.

Also, the shift linkage in the drive selector makes a.noise when pumping the brakes while in park or neutral. Dealership says its normal since you have to press the brakes before engaging in drive, but that linkage makes the rotary knob wobble...doesn't seem normal to me.

Just to follow up on this, I checked for the recall with my VIN again and now it shows up. Wonderful. I hate going to the dealer for anything.

HEY, report back and let us know if you notice anything different, or some other electronic goblin unleashed by them (FCA) flashing the ECU/BCM.

NAH, just keep yer peepers open and watch for any surprises, maybe FCA for a change get it right, lol. Of course with NHTSA watching, may be why. All IMHO!!!
