Engine Block Rust

Was changing the oil filter and noticed this... the bottom of the block is seriously rusting.. cant find the leak yet. Anyone else see anything like this? Slightly shocked for a 2012...

My '12 looks roughly the same way. Its just years of dirt, debris, hot, cold etc wearing away the top coat.

Anyone know what the sensor is on the right? I know the one closer to the filter is oil pressure, but I think the one above it is whats leaking...

Mine was the same way was rlly bad i chipped all rust off and painted what i could.
