Have a 2014 2500 Cummins 4x4. Sometimes when I'm slowing down (20-25mph) or driving slow at an idle I will hear coming from the engine area what I can best describe as a drum roll. Any idea what is causing it? Can't get to do it when a mechanic is present.

Best thing to do is try to record it when it does it and upload it to here.

probably just the HPFP adjusting itself pressure wise. It's on the low rpm/load side to have the turbo farting, this usually occurs when the boost pressure lowers rapidly and air pressure pushes it's way back through the turbo.
