Well I got my truck stuck this weekend on a road that's not maintained by the county but is still a public road. It's a bit rutted up but nothing crazy, although bad enough to pull me into the soft shoulder. I wasn't really stuck, just couldn't back out on my own because the truck had slid very close to a tree so I stopped trying to get out. I wasn't beating on it before or after I got stuck nor while trying to get unstuck. I called a friend who lived near by and was pulled out in no time.
After I got home I shut the truck off and the next morning started it up and my check engine light is on and the outside temp gauge is stuck at -40. Other than putting the truck into 4x4 and spinning my wheels in a quick attempt to get out I don't see what could have caused that issue.
Any ideas? Should I just unhook the battery? Truck runs fine, it's a 2014.
