I purchased a 2007 3500 5.9L 6-speed about a week ago and have been driving it frequently up until the engine light came on all the sudden. It had been driving perfect when I heard a noise from underneath and all the sudden the check engine light came on. When I shift it into 3rd gear it's almost like the throttle is not responding, the engine revs up but nothing happens it's just like it being in neutral and then it finally catches at least 20 seconds after it occurred. The same thing happens in 4th through 6th gear. If any one has any advice or possible solution to the problem or hell even what the problem is that would be great.
