Engine swope from 5.2 to 5.9

I swooped my 5.2 to a 5.9 engine in my 2001 dodge ram. Can I use the same transmission that was already in the truck.

yes, should be a straight bolt on.

trans is the same but the torque converter is different due to balancing.

We did the same thing in reverse, swapped a 5.2 in place of a 5.9. The torque convertor is the same, but the flywheel is different.

Yeah, I know, we didn't know what was in the truck - the decal on the front crossmember said 5.2, so that's what we got. Wasn't till we swapped it out and had bad vibrations that we found out the flywheel is different and that we'd had a 5.9 in there to begin with. Swapped to a 5.2 flywheel and all is good.
