Stranded again. 1st time 4k now 42k. 1st time no boost. Now this.basically dont know what the problem.

MR DRI1:
DRIVEABILITY CONCERNS
ENGINE PERFORMANCE CONCERN
VEHICLE DIES 30 SECONDS AFTER STARTUP
Caused by
FAULT CODES P016F CLOSED LOOP FUEL PRESSURE
CONTROL AT LIMIT- PRESSURE TOO LOW, P0087 FUEL
PRESSURE TOO LOW. REMOVE AND INSPECT FUEL FILTER.
CHECK LIFT PUMP FUEL PRESSURE. PRESSURE IS 70 PSI.
SPEC IS 65- 110. PERFORM CYL BALANCE TEST.
INJECTORS WITHIN RANGE. FUEL PRESSURE FLUCTUATING
EXCESSIVELY. REPLACE FUEL FILTER. TEST DRIVE FOR
15 MILES. OK AT THIS TIME.

So they reflash the computer change a fuel filter don't know what the problem is. Today engine service light comes on and it flashes a p245b code. Do I need to get rid of this thing or what

Sounds like your EGR valve is going bad. Are you under warranty?

EGR cooler is out I guess. At 42k is frustrating. Nothing to do with the fuel pressure deal last week. 2994 to fix that. I called FCA and said this is a emissions issue. They said its not covered and not an emissions problem. I said when I get it tested it is ,and its a direct part of the emissions equipment. I said Ive been a dodge guy for 40 years and my other car is a dodge in the garage. For a 58k sticker it should be able to go more that 42k without a 3k repair. so theres a reimbursement ID number. waiting. Ill keep you posted on this. In the mean time I can use a block off plate kit dealio and tune it out . what do you think?

Yeah if you get a tune either from PPEI or GDE or SFT, it should turn off the EGR, and then you can block it out with a delete plate kit, but then you might as well delete the exhaust as you don’t want all that soot to build up in those filters and not be burned off. However, that all will still cost less then 3,000$ to do

I got the update 2k miles ago and it lost power on me afterwards. I have had a S&B cold air intake for about 20k miles. It seems the update doesn't like the free flowing intakes. They told me the update limits the airflow in to 260 cubic mm. My intake allowed in around 480 cubic mm. I THOUGHT THE VARIABLE VEIN TURBO WOULD CONTROL THIS ISSUE. They had it for 10 days and said it was my fault for having the aftermarket intake on it. Stuck me with the bill. Warranties would not cover it. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER HERE.
