I'm at 8000 miles and no issues. So far so good. :pepper:

At about 7,000 miles on V6 and it seems ok, I suppose I'll find out as time goes on.

I am at 15000 kms and 1 year of owning my Ram. This is the best truck I have ever been in. Averages 18 mpg combined and 10 mpg towing my trailer. Not a single problem with the truck. I really like the E-Torque. They just did a recall on the E-torque motor unit ( I was not having any problems with it), I can't even tell there is a new one in there.

Yep, I'm the guy digging up a 2-year old thread. Sorry about that.

I have a 2021 Ram Rebel 4x4 with the eTorque. So far over I've driven just over 2000 miles, babying the heck out of my new investment. I'm averaging 13.5 MPG. I drove 5 hours of interstate and again averaged 13.5 MPG. The dealer did a diagnostic test and got 18 MPG (compared to the 22 MPG sticker highway rating), while hypermiling at 56 MPH on the interstate (70 mph zone). My last truck, a Silverado 2500HD 6.0 gas, got the same MPG despite the mud tires, lift kit, and extremely heavy right foot (so I could hear the exhaust roar).

Overall RAM is one feature-rich truck, but my lord is the fuel economy disgusting, even with the eTorque system!

Your MPG will likely increase over time as most others with new vehicles have found.

I'm curious why people would spend another $1,450 on this mild hybrid system. Read the break-in point to make the $$$ back is 83k, why bother spending the extra in the first place?

That must be dependent on trim level. I am looking at two trucks right now and with similar packages the etorque is about $60.00 more

The post you quoted was from over 2 years ago, at that point in time the pricing was much different.
