Did some towing the other day and getting new tires, so I figured I'd show what the rear end looks like...

This is 2.8 in the front, tires are BFG AT KO2 285/65R20, and pulling a Ford Focus on a U-Haul auto carrier... Not too much rear sag, got about 15mpg according to the dash.

Today I installed front Bilsteins set at the highest setting as well as 35x12.50 General Grabbers. The wheels are 17x9 Fuel Hostage with -12 offset.

Zero rub, but have not been in 4x4.

For those wondering the costs
General Grabbers @ Sears online for $227.00

Bilsteins were $94.00 each@ 4wheelparts
I had a local shop here in Tampa install the Bilstein for $214.00

Fuel Hostage wheels were $198.00 each @ 4wheelparts
I like the tires ! Tell us how they ride & sound + performance in the mud !

Curious as to any long term issues with the billy level. I know with my old truck it was only a matter of time before you'd wear through the CV boot due to the increased angle of the lift and the boots rubbing. Also looks like UCA's might be an issue but seem to be a pretty cheap fix if you just install mevotech's during the install.

Anything else to know up front before getting into the level?

Looks like mevo's are pretty much a must for my 2014. Billy's @2.1 or Billy's @2.8 w/ 3/4-1" rear spacer or a progressive spring. Would love to hear recommendations on the rear spring, but want to keep it on topic. So if anyone doesn't mind, please PM me spring details.

Is CV wear an issue? Anything else to consider? I can live with some minor 4x4 vibes provided they aren't damaging anything, but want to make sure I consider every factor before making my decision on the best way to move forward.

I installed my bils @ +2.8 , along with the Mevotecs UCAs for cheep insurance approximately 8000 miles ago , no vibes , no CV issues . I will be installing a 1" spacer to the back soon , just so I'm level while towing the boat .

2014 Ram 4x4 QC 6 speed xsmn 3.55 differentials.

Hope this helps .

Thanks for the info. Anyone else with more long term experience? Like 50k+ miles down the road?

Lol you should probably be replacing shocks by 50k, but I get what you're saying.

I wouldn't say mevotechs are a "must" either.. I seen one person with issues on here with bilstiens.. And I'm 90% sure he ran spacers for a while prior to them, and off roading.

lol, more interested in long term side effects of the lift rather than the shocks themselves. [emoji106]

Hey, I have a slightly weird issue. I installed one Bilstein on my front passenger side and I m getting the same measure on the other side with stock.

I m missing the spring clip for the other Bilstein so I can t install it yet. Although after taking back and front measurements I m pretty much level. Roughly 46" to my bottom fenders.

Could the one Bilstein be causing the front to level out? I wouldn t think so..

The front should settle down and the bilstein should be higher after you drive it, which I would t recommend with one bilsteins shock and one oem shock.

Do you have any other lift on the truck? 46" is way high.

Yeah, I have a 6" BDS Lift on the truck. Trying to avoid not driving it but not working out haha. I have the Bilstein set at 2.1" I just find it weird that both sides measure the same..

Alright guys, I have little to no idea what I'm getting here. I have a 2011 Big Horn Quad Cab 4x4. This is all that I believe I need. Bilstein 24-187367 5100 for the fronts and Bilstein 24-187374 for the backs.

Do I need coils? Anything else? My mechanic is going to be putting them on for me.

Thanks in advance guys!
