I can't decide what I want to do to my 13's exhaust.
I am trying to decide between the magnaflow 14" and just deleting the muffler.
I'm afraid the 14" will be too quiet and the straight will be too loud lol.
Does anybody know how either of these compares to a Flowmaster 50 series? My sisters fiancé has the 50 series on his 13 so if you can relate it to that I could get an understanding of how loud.

I'll tell you what I tell everybody else. a MF 14 with an electric exhaust cutout welded up before the muffler after the y-pipe. quiet when you need it, loud when you want it.

I've heard some bad things about the cutout and the door not opening or closing properly. There is a sound clip thread on this forum that will allow you to listen to different set ups and get an idea of what you like. I personally went with the muffler delete and had 18" long powder coated tips put on, leaving the resonators. I love the sound I have.

Yeah I've watched hours worth of videos lol.

My old truck was an SRT-10 with no cats and a magnaflow cat-back.
So I'm assuming whatever I do to this one it still won't be that loud.

I also thought that it'll be cheaper to straight pipe it and if it's too loud I can add a muffler.

Just watched them in the exhaust thread (again lol)
It surprises me the tips make that much difference.

What I'm really worried about is just cruising inside the cab.
I've always had loud trucks but this one is kind of nice being quiet in the cab.

With the muffler delete and tips, the in cab sound isn't that loud unless you have a heavy foot. The other thing is the MDS. If you have the radio off, the MDS can be a little loud, especially on the interstate. But it's still not that bad to me.

I like the delete but when the MDS kicks in it sounds bad so I usually put it in manual 6th so it does not come on.Like was said before the delete is kinda tame till you mash the gas then it sounds like the hemi gods are mighty mad and I love it.

Im loving the sound of a single aero-turbine 3030xl to a y-pipe on my 13 laramie. Take a look at these mufflers from aero exhaust. Build quality and sound is awesome!

They are all stainless steel in build. It also has a built in reso with the muffler and is a straight through design. I doubt that it will rust through time, unlike aluminized flowmasters or cherry bombs or even some models of magnaflows. :) but it all comes down to what kind of sound you are looking for :)

MUFFLER DELETE for dayzzzzzzzz

My truck sounds pissed off and angry when I romp on it, however it is quite civil when just crusing around. just leave the factory reso's cause they really help mellow out the raspiness commonly found in true straight pipe set ups. Also if you do the Y-pipe mod, that will also slightly tone down the noise as well. Then lastly installing larger tips ( 4x18 or 5x18 ) will really deepen the sound.

Well I got a good deal on a Mufflex DODM80 so I put it on over the weekend.
I really like it. Not too loud in the cab, nice deep rumble, and loud outside when getting on it.
