Anything attached to the engine would in theory help isolate noise so it’s possible. I don’t have any first hand experience with any increase is noise with them off though.
Truck runs fine no codes... I do believe I have a cracked intake manifold cuz I've got.an oil leak at the passenger rear side and that injector #8 had oil sitting down by the o ring? Possible that's where the noise is comin from... its metallic sounding ... intake gaskets have been done alsoeee421964413bccc8501b1c119868981.jpga07b3a1ec942f8d430f693d1a9ad5f84.jpg

Broken flush bolts are extracted after welding a 5/16" nut to the face of the stud/bolt. Thousands of guys doing this can't be wrong. My question is, and remains posed here; once the original manifolds have been seasoned, milling them true, and using all new bolts/gaskets.......does that eliminate any further warping???
