exhaust tips advise please

I have a 2011 ram 1500 laramie crew cab , with duel exhaust , one of them got scratched so am thinking of changing them , what are the best kinds of exhaust tips ? and what size should I get if I wanna go a little bit bigger .

Magnaflow makes a 5" tip which really fills out the stock bumper cutouts nicely.
Solo Performance has 4" which I can't tell from the 3.5" stockers.
I'm sure there are more.

Grabbed mine off another site last year, but sure a few of our venders can get them at a good deal.
Talk to Andrew (fastnugly) Discount auto performance, db truck customz, or hit up matt (Moes vendor) sure either one could get a set..come in 12" and 18" long. need adapters too though!

I think they should come stock with bigger tips...the 5" fills the cutouts nicely!

Don't they need to be welded on and don't the stock ones need cut off?

Correct. The only Bolton 5" tips are the Mufflex tips. Only downside to these is that they are short, so they just don't look right from the side. To get a long enough tip to hide this, you will need to cut your resonators off and have the new tips and adapters welded.

I am a welder so I can do this but my daddys was a slip on for his Tj and i hadn't looked at my truck.

thanks guys , so I need a 5" exhaust tips that are 18" long and 3.5 " inside . correct ?
and am with the idea to go black , they will look great .
am not sure whats the best brand tell now , and I wish there was some thing that wont stick out that much so it wont be easily hit . also I want the easiest one to install . Not a big fan of cutting and molding .
I found mbrp Outlet Size 5", Inlet Size 4", Length 12"
black . they look great and the price is good but not sure if they will fit .
by the way am going to order it online . so if you have any sites please share it

THey are diesel tips so need 2.5" to 4" adapters...I doubt you will find 2.5" to 5" tips that are 12" long or more...Everyone running the mbrps have adapters

The bigger longer tip makes a deeper tone, but not that much difference
