I hope my question makes sense lol...

Whats the diff between a catback system (muffler back to tips with no resonators like corsa) and a muffler delete With resonators and tips like b2?

Sound performance reliability ect.

When I look at systems they are well over $1k but a muffler delete is around $400 with tips. There must be something to it for basically another $600+

I'm not endorsing and saying these are my choices. I'm just using those as examples from what I have seen on youtube and random searches.

Most aftermarket kits upgrade the pipes to either 2.5" or 3" over the factories 2.25" pipes. Hot Exhaust or Canadian Tire (if you want magnaflow) are probably your 2 best choices for aftermarket systems in Canada. Crappy Tire will usually price match anybody else's price on a Magnaflow kit.The last 2 Magnaflow catbacks i bought were threw Crappy Tire,as they were the cheapest, but that's also going back a few years now.

honestly i like the factory sport exhaust to me it’s good enough. after my last truck debacle with an endless search to get rid of drone and rasp pop I'm leaving it alone

The extra diameter does that do something specific?

I'm not on a budget I just like paying for value. If paying $600 nets me something worth while then I'll do it.

I'm only looking for sound I don't care about losing or gaining power.

On a stock truck "no",if all you want is a little more noise, there's quite a few differant aftermerket mufflers that can be ordered as a direct fit, that replace your stock muffler,it's just a matter of picking one that you like.

A lot of these are stainless steel, hence the pricing for the expensive material and the welding. If you want to cheap out, you can look for the painted steel options. But almost all vehicles come stock with stainless steel exhaust these days, so eventually any painted steel will turn into a rust bucket. Where you live determines how fast.

Gotta love Saskatchewans Potash mines, they needed somewhere to sell the salt by product, and Ontario stepped up,lol

Look up Lyell's Stainless. Out of Burlington, Ontario. Sell stainless direct-fit mufflers and muffler deletes.

I'm running their stainless muffler and they are bolt on other than you have to grind off the line up tabs on the tail pipes. I think other aftermarket mufflers you do as well.

Check out Solo Performance Mach 44 system. I have that on my truck and love it. Not crazy loud and no real drone....sounds great. I’ve had lots of muffler only weld on mufflers but the complete system was worth it to me. Getting rid of those resonators makes it sound better. The larger pipes and long tips I’m sure help add to the overall sound. Quality and fit were spot on.

If I was to do it all over again, I would just go straight to a full cat back system. I know it’s not needed but for me it has produced the best results.

What about the full system made it best for you or why you would go that route instead?
