Had a Camaro in the past and had borla exhaust, straight piped, resonator delete. Sounded bad but also a bit raspy.

Purchased this truck with Mopar Performance Exhaust. I love how there’s barely if any drone and has semi aggressive growl.

Looking to make it louder if possible while maintaining Mopar performance exhaust and ideally little or no drone.

Any suggestions?

Cat delete is out of the question...

Swap out the muffler for a Carven or Mufflex unit if you want louder. If the exhaust already has resonators on it at the back end, leave them on.

Convert, for now.
Engine
small
may sound weird, but stock tips? I added Moe's 5" tips, even on a stock muffler, made it deeper.

Hmm for DODM80 lot of highway drone? I’d be able to maintain Mopar performance exhaust? Have to cut muffler out?

Looks like comparing the two shows the Mopar one has piped attached running up from the muffler to the pipes and the mufflex does not so I’d have to buy pipes and more clamping or cut the Mopar muffler it seems like...hmmm...

wonder if there’s anything even different between the Mopar muffler and the stock ram muffler anyway.

Here's a picture of stock vs mopar. You'd need pipes and other things like you're thinking as the stock exhaust disconnects right at the muffler.

You guys really got me turned on to the DODM80!!!

Anyone ever made that work with Mopar cat back?? Really wanna make that work somehow.

Was debating black tips which maybe would be easier and more cost effective than the pipe route as well to compliment the blue and black theme I got going on..what do you guys think? So stupid considering I bought this truck with the Mopar for a reason and here we go again removing everything

Isn't the mopar a borla touring exhaust? Maybe you can get them to sell you the S-type muffler from the s-type kit..

Love my cutout. Dumped off straight from the fat 3" pipe. Sounds great to me. If i ever need quiet then I flip a switch and its bone stock again. It was also cheaper than a muffler.

I emailed them last night to see if they will tell me which muffler it is. Im thinking about doing a full borla with the black tips. I found a bunch of Mopar exhaust clips on youtube and I think its one of the best sounding exhaust without being obnoxious.

I would say its loud. Much louder than your Mopar Performance setup. If you want an increase in depth of sound, get the 5” tips. If you want it overall louder, get a free flowing muffler. I have a 18” Magnaflow, which is a straight through, no baffles design. No resonators. 4”tips that are 10” long. Deep sound, moderately loud, no rasp...

So I received an email back from Borla stating the Mopar exhaust is "between a touring and a S-type". Maybe upgrading to a S-type will give you some more sound?

Wow interesting great to know that! They only sell s type and touring for 2018 on website ATAK is showing for 2019. Unfortunately doesn’t look like can just buy the muffler need to get the kit with pipes as well...haven’t heard back from muffler shop yet if they could just do bolt on pipes for me so I could change it if I decided (they prob want me to come by). Wanna day with Camaro it was between 80-150 to straight pipe weld it years ago.
