Whats wrong with an approval process? They're not there to inconvenience the customer, but to make sure repairs are done correctly and only what is needed is replaced.

I work for a warranty company and have experience in the shop as well as a former mechanic for Dodge. I deal with mechanics and advisors on a daily basis who aren't properly diagnosing vehicles or who try to replace more parts than are needed. Not only is that bad for business, but it is bad for customers too. Especially if they have deductibles with every repair.

Thanks for your help I emailed back and forth with Clay Robbins about purchasing the warranty from him.
I asked to see the terms of the contract before I paid an have not heard back from him.

So I'll just try and purchase local first.

Not sure what you mean by "limited" warranty.
You can get an extended warranty anytime within your factory warranty period. 3 yrs or 36,000 miles.

I have a CU warranty, but if I knew about the Mopar one, I would have went with it instead.

My Laramie 2016 have Geico mechanical repair insurance on my truck. Two dealers by me in NY take it I pay 30 bucks every six months for it ,it covers bumper to bumper like the Mopar warranty. The only thing its for new vehicles and has to be added to your policy before it hits 5,000 miles on the speed o.

MAXCARE is the way to go. The price is the same between 12k and 48k miles. In May I picked up the 7 year / unlimited mileage / $100 deductible plan when it was still available for $2700 from warranty direct. I have since had my fuel management system and master cylinder replaced. It has almost paid for itself in less than three months...
