Have a used 2018 1500 and ever since I got it a few months back I cannot get the water spots off of the exterior windows. Has anyone had this issue and if so have you been able to fix it?

I second the clay bar. Try a light rating, and if that doesn't work, increase the coarseness. (light... med... heavy)

Old school trick....... "0000" steel wool, very lightly with distilled water.

What is likely causing the spots is "hard water & contaminants".

To protect it afterwards once the spots are removed.... Rain-X does work :waytogo:

Got my new 2018 Charger, drove to Kansas parked for 4 days at hotel for event. Didnt know the hotel sprinkler went off on it nightly, and had terrible water spots all over it.
Had it detailed, and ceramic coated and took all them off. Car had maybe 1500 miles on it. I was scared the paint was etched for life!

My garage door was up and the sprinkler got my spoiler. It was already coated and I saw it the other day. Ill have to strip it hopefully in the next week or so and re coat the spoiler. Its never driven so it probably went a few weeks without me seeing it.

Found out about a product from my boat dealer called FLITZ. I am not here to promote this product just to give you my personal experience using it. First of all it's not cheap at about $50 dollars for a 2 pound can. The product is not abrasive and is actually cream like. I have used it on my boats glass , glass cooktops, stainless steel to remove rust, auto glass , headlights , to remove rust spots on gelcoat and it is actually a polish. I don't know how or why it works but it has worked for me on many different things. Hope this helps you. https://www.flitz.com/flitz-polish-paste/

You can also try BarKeepers Friend or BonAmi powder to clean the glass as they won't scratch the glass. Do not use them on paint. For really bad etching you may need a product with cerium oxide like CeriGlass by CarPro and a dedicated rayon glass polishing pad. This will work best with a rotary polished though a forced rotation DA can also do a good job. Polishing glass takes a while and will also make a mess so be ready to wash the vehicle after polishing the glass. Once polished a good glass coating is suggested such as Aquapel, FlyBy Forte or Flyby30, GTechniq G1 Clear Vision.

Try white Vinager, damp a rag with it and apply it until those spot desappear.
