Neat idea over at Ford (yes, it can happen). They have created a system where they program in the payload capacity and then use sensors to calculate how much weight has been added to the truck. There are 4 lights in the taillight lenses that progressively light up as you get to max weight and then the top light blinks if payload capacity is exceeded. I only saw a article on Jalopnik so my post is not detailed as to how it works. But a nice idea nonetheless.
