I know the coils of the 2500 give it nice ride, but that the leafs of the 3500 give it more payload.

I know its not likely, but Does adding factory rear air suspension to a 2500 increase payload? As it is shockingly low on a mega cab cummins, just scratching for ways to bump it up.

Nope, it just helps with bringing the 2500 back up to level so you have your front end in the right position for towing.

If you want more payload, get a bigger truck. Although asking said question you don’t exactly understand payload and such. Which is fine.

Look at the numbers for mega and crew and 2500 and 3500 and figure out what you need.

2500 is a numbers game truck. 3500 is the way to go in a HD for that reason. Apart from rear suspension basically the same truck in SRW configuration. Swap out the rear leafs in a 3500 with air ride like the kelderman kit and you'll have the 3500 payload and a good ride. Upgrade the suspension in a 2500 still low payload.

the factory air suspension will handle more weight before defaulting.
