Just got a set of these tires in 275/60R20 installed and love them so far. The tire placard for my truck shows 39 psi but these tires have a max psi of 51 vs the SRA of 44 psi. Others that are running these tires, are you sticking with the pressure on the placard or something different?

Mine are E rated and 80psi so are stiffer than yours. I tried several settings and found anything above 45psi ran rougher. I ran 55psi for a while but that was wearing the center trad faster than the outer treads. So I am using 45psi. Could go lower but feel that just defeats the reasons for having a heavier ply tire. So far 45psi is a better ride and better treadwear. If I had your tires I would try 40 & 45psi.

funny thing about tires. i've had both bike dealers and car dealers so always follow the manufacturers specs, they designed the vehicle blah blah blah. when i took my taco in for service some places would set them all at 31 lb (my preference..they were cooper at tires) and some places would set them to 26 front, 29 back as per the card. 29 was tolerable. 26 always made them look like they were low so i'd pump them up. i never had adverse issues with my coopers relative to the wear. 2.5 years in they still had tons of even tread.

Do you have a 1500? If so your GAWR is 3900lbs at the rear axel regardless of trim. With that said you want a tire able to support 1950lbs each.

Did you get P or LTs in that size? With LTs in that size you only need 40psi to technically support full 3900 lbs GAWR (2210lbs each at 40psi)
If you want to match the placard then you have to pump 54-55psi.

They are P rated tires. 39 seems a bit low so I'll give 42 a shot

I misunderstood when you said they were 51psi rated I thought they would be LT tires. If they are P rated you should use what worked best with the stockers. Stockers are 44psi, your Wildpeaks at 51psi will give you a wide range to try.

Interesting response from Falken on what psi to run. Maybe a dumb question but what would be the reasons for Ram to bump the recommendation up to 39 from 35?

Thank you for contacting us! Technically, the air pressure chart shows to run our A/T tire at 35 psi. Our tire uses the ETRTO Standard load psi chart. Your OE is the same size, but a "P" tire / load rating of 114. For liability reasons,
no one will recommend going below your door sticker psi. Running at 39 may create some uneven wear, but you will get a bit better gas mileage!

I got mine installed at the Ram Dealer and the tech said they've recommended 40 psi and that its what the best life for the tire
