It has a 5500 lbs GVWR and pin of 600 lbs....so even the payload police can't cry foul.

You could get a 24' bumper pull TT and probably have more room though.

There's a big difference in how a tag along vs a fiver tows though.
With a fiver, the trailer can't use the rear axle as leverage and the rear axle is the pivot point for turning.

Depending on your bed length Pullrite offers sliding hitches that work incredibly well.
I had a 2300 Superglide in the 2011 1500 Laramie, 5'7" inch bed. towed a 27" Cougar all over the west. The trailer weighed in at 89554 lbs. loaded.

Yep, same here. 8100 #s dry with a 3.92 w/Hemi
Works great with that Auto-slider hitch and the 5' 7" shorty. Limit speed to 60

Does anyone know if there’s a fifth wheel installation kit for the new body style 1500? I found kits for the 2019 “classic “ body, but not the new body style.

I towed a travel trailer behind my 2004 1500 and it SUCKED!!! MPG was like 5-7 on the Hemi and eventually bought the 2500. Then got 14-16 MPG then upgraded to a 42’ 5th wheel and now upgrading again to a 3500
