got a chance to install the bilstein 6112, 5160, 3/4 inch spacer, and the zone uca today.

i bought the shocks last year sept 2020.

install wasnt to bad, took about 5 hours total for everything, thats with me, my dad, my friend and his son giving each other hell while i was doing all the work.

will be taking the truck to get it aligned in the morning.

i had the front shocks set to the 2.8 setting and for the rear i used the 3/4 inch spacer, i might swap out to a 1 inch spacer later down the road.

the rear is 1/2 inch higher than the front right now.

i freaking love the ride!

Congrats on finally having time. The 6112’s are a killer combo on the front of our trucks

NICE! Hows the ride? I'm not a fan of the 5100s but I do love the look.

freaking love it! to me it feels stiffer yet softer at the same time. it truely it a night and day difference. some small bumps you dont notice, the bigger bumps that would jossil the truck now dont jossil. you know you hit it, but it doesnt hurt

Were the UCAs just extra piece of mind or are they recommended for going up to the 2.8 mark?

Lifting above about 2" on stock control arms (not counting 4"+ full lifts) can make it difficult to align on some trucks due to the limited range on the alignment cams.

Make sure you keep water out of the top of those UCA's. Have had my Zone UCA's for less than a year and some of the powder has chipped because they cup water like no other.

it didn't look like they would hold any water, i'll have to take another look at them to see what youre talking about.

I’m trying to do my 6112 install with new strut top parts to prebuild the struts. Do you remember if the dust shields are really needed? I’m worried that they help center the spring isolator and the spring will move around with out it. New ones are $40 a pair and a few weeks out. Would prefer not to have to tear down my original struts. 9F4B7D84-9678-4A07-B6A0-4EF1EE25CF52.jpeg913290F1-8F04-4623-AF97-CDD91EFDA567.jpeg
