I was also looking at these but to get the 10 ply I had to go up to the 285/60/20 instead of the stock 275/60/20 at the tire shop I was at still waiting to decide.

Yea, I actually didn’t need the heavier duty tire so this was a perfect fit.

Good point though and worth noting that not all Wildpeaks are the same, size determines the load rating, tread depth, # of ply, etc.

One important thing to note about the AT3W’s, is the stock size that they offer is not a LT tire and drops from a load range E to SL. Also, tread depth is only 13/32’s, instead of the 20” E rated tires which are 18/32’s.

The 285/55/20, 285/60/20 or 305/50/20 are damn close to stock height, but will gain the deeper tread depth as well as the E load range.

The factory Good Year Wrangler SR-A is not an LT. They are also an SL with a load index of 2601lbs. The factory size Wildpeak SL load index is 2679lbs. The overall diameter of these AT3's are 33.1 vs the SR-A at 33.0. The tread depth on these AT3's are 13/32 vs. SR-A at 11/32.

Exactly, I noticed in shopping different sizes that ratings all around varied as you went larger, hence the higher price tag. I am not doing any serious towing or off roading, so any improvement above the SRAs was great and the tread pattern and performance on these tires, regardless of load ratings seems to be pretty great, including the triple peak snow rating!

I have these exact tires for the same reasons. I also made sure they were 4 ply like factory in order to maintain that Cadillac feel on the road. The snow rating is a bonus in my area too.

Exactly! Price is great, looks are awesome, performance in weather is great, better than factory and can handle some decent off road trails still! Wins all around!

A bit late to the thread, but I've decided on getting the Falkens too. I'm considering getting the 275/55R20 just for the XL load rating. I had KO2's in E load rating on my prior RAM and it was overkill (in both price and functionality), but I think I want more than SL. I only do occasional light off-roading typically beach/sand and only occasional light towing (snowmobile). I'm hesitant to get the SL rating but feel the E is too much. I'm mainly getting them for the nasty NY winters, snowy trips up to Vermont and I hate the boring stock tire look.

I found 275/55R20 for 194 each mounted & balanced.

Thoughts / experience?

Thanks

I have the SL rated in the stock 275/60/20 and think it is perfect for inclement weather and light off road. They are still better load ratings and thicker than the stock Goodyears which i did some light trails in as well. As long as they support the load of any significant towing you may do and you don't plan to do any rock crawling, i would go with the SL.

For me it was too hard to pass up staying with the stock size for the price of them compared to KO2s and you get a very similar look and performance out of them with a 55,000 mile warranty! Discount/Americas Tire price matched them from Amazon for me and was out the door for about $800!

Had them for 2 months now, ride great and look even better. I didn't notice any addition road noise going from well worn out SR's...

The 75/55R20s only come in 6ply. That would be a good choice as the 6 & 10 ply are reported to be getting much better mileage than the 4 ply

Another post mentioned stock on his truck was 275/60R20 and recommended them. The difference between 55 & 60 isn't much but my window sticker and build sheet lists 275/55R20 which I'm fine with because I'd rather the XL rated version. Getting them on tomorrow.

Thanks for your input.

One more for the bunch....

It's not photo-ready but it's cold here and just wanted to give some other examples for those considering.
