I'm not looking for pretty, I'm looking for practical.

But it'll be covered.

And since when do you like pretty?! Have you looked at either of your trucks lately? :bleh:

Eh, I'll try the sanding bit and if that doesn't do it I'll leave it alone. I'll be using the hone to hopefully bevel the edges of the bores a bit too.

And rat rod? Please. :happy175:

did you look at the hole that the s bolt threads into? it goes all the way through the TB. my friend just pointed that out to me. fire up the die grinder and cut the rest of that horn off :superhack:

you should be able to look through the hole with the s bolt out. i don't know how you mist that since you had it all apart. should have about 3/4"-1" of material for the bolt to bite into which is more than enough.

You only replace the butterflies if you bore to 52mm. For the 50 you don't need them.

That I do not know. Most people that have 52mm TBs didn't make them themselves, they just bought the TB. :D

The stock TB is actually 50mm below the throttle plates, but the bores are tapered on the top side shrinking the size down before the plates.
