Went and got a 2020 2500 this evening. Hopefully this will be the one that last me til I’m gone. My 1500 did a great job and I put it through the test but now my son gets that and I got this. Big learning curve for me.97FC11A8-2952-4AA3-9860-5D190BE60684.jpeg

Congrats.
Just curious, was the recall done already for the high pressure fuel pump replacement? If you post a pic I can tell you, or you can go on the Mopar Ram website and check by Vin for any active recalls.

Congrats on the truck! They pull so well. But I'd have the same concern at 18crewdually. Make the pump recall part of the sales agreement. Get it done before you drive off the lot.

You'll have to schedule with your local dealer.

Congrats on the truck!! Looks great. Same year as mine I bought new in October 2020 and I have had zero problems with it, even towing my fifth wheel RV.

Got mine back from the dealer yesterday after having the fuel pump replaced per the recall. Call your dealer and get scheduled. They will have to order the parts as they have a weekly allotment.

Thanks for the info. I will get the ball rolling tomorrow if I can. Can I get an idea of normal operating temps and maybe an idea of what it would be with say a 10k travel trailer behind it. When I read the Carfax it listed the recalls but said there wasn't a fix for it yet. That's why I wasn't sure about the part availability.

That's a pretty light load so on flat land your temps won't be much higher than unloaded. One thing to watch is trans temp. for the simple fact that the transmission thermostat can get stuck and cause the trans to run hot, too hot. Normal driving it will be around 160. If you see it creeping up and holding 200, there's an issue probably the thermostat on the passenger side front of the transmission.

My Dealership Service Dept said that (as of June 1st) they were only getting 2 Fuel Pump kits per week, and that trucks are on a waiting list, to be called when their numbers up.

Check to see if the troublesome CP4 injection pump is covered on the recall. If so they'll replace it with the old reliable CP3. There's a TSB for it. Bosch screwed up. The Fords have the same one.

Got an appointment set up for the 28th. Earliest dealer could see me was the 20th but I couldn't do that day.

^^^ DITTO ^^^ Gert it done, that crapola CP4 pump design has been known to fail, just saying.

A 2020, new, leftover or used???

BTW, good looking ride and GL with it.
