Hello!
Just bought a 2004 Dodge Ram Quadcab SLT 5.7 L Hemi.
Just joined and reading all the info here. Great site.
No plans on lifting the truck, just fixing everything the previous owner deemed unworthy of notice and trying to get it to be a solid runner.
Gotta say.. the 5.7l Hemi seems to have a lot of vigor.
Any worry points on this truck that I should pay attention to?
So far, I have rusted calipers dragging in the back, rear exhaust pipe rusted and hanging from the muffler (nice sound, but that just wont do), a 4" hole in the driver seat to repair and a dent in the box.
Engine was filthy, but looks sound, no leaks at all and transfer case seems to function properly (although I haven't tried 4-Low yet.
Cheers!
(will link up a photo gallery later, I like doing that for my vehicles to track their life)
