I'm a recovering Ford owner and after driving the 5th generation Ram 1500, I was hooked.
The truck is so smooth, capable and commanding. I drove lots of variations of the truck, spent weeks researching engines and options, searched dealers in a 500 mile radius --- only to find the truck I wanted on the lot 5 miles away.
Laramie, Level 2, Hemi 5.7 eTorque, 4x4, Sport/Protection/Tech/Safety pkg, 3.92 axle, Pano roof
I waffled between the Rebel and Laramie because this will see dirt and snow - but the reclining rear seats in the Laramie won me over. After adding the Protection package and 3.92 axle (plus picking up wheels and tires sourced from the Rebel), I think this is the best balance of capability and comfort.
By the way - if you are going to get a 2021 1500, the Technology package is a MUST HAVE. The heads up display is a huge hit with the three drivers in our household. Cheers everyone!
