First Ram

I just bought a 2011 ram 1500. It has a 4.7L V8 and everything on it is stock right now. The first thing I'm wanting to do is new exhaust and cold air intake. Any reccomendations for a first time Ram owner?

welcome to RF. I don't have a 4.7 so i can't give any good info on a cai. I can say that i have magnaflow exhaust and i like it.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. Don't have a 4.7 but i have always used k&n cai on my trucks and have been very happy with them. Currently runnin borla on my 07 hemi and love it, was pretty pricey though. Not sure if they even make borla for the 4.7 though, if i had to choose another i would definitely go magnaflow. Have seen lots of guys runnin magnaflow and haven't seen any complaints yet

I don't have a 4.7 but starting with exhaust and intake is a great place to start for more horepower. I for a 4.7 I would go a 18" Magnaflow with Volant cold air intake.

Thanks for the input. I've been reading on here a lot and saw some people putting 14" magnaflow exhaust on thier hemis. Wasn't sure if I should do the same with the 4.7. Not wanting it to be obnoxiously loud though.
