Hi,
I just bought a brand new 2013 Ram 1500 Sport CC 8sp Hemi 3.92 LSD, and I 'hated' Dodge/Ram for as long as I could remember.
The story of how I switched; I was making a trip to Costco in my 2011 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x CC, and needed my oil changed in the truck. I figured Id drop the truck off at the dealer to get the work done and have their shuttle bring me to Costco and back. Everything went as planned, except the truck was taking longer than expected because they were busy. I decided to kill time by checking out all the dealerships around, Toyota, Nissan's lot, Ford, and Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler.
One of the sales men came and saw me checking out the Nissan Titan and I asked to drive it since I was bored, we took it for a spin then he brought up Ram's. I told him how I disliked anything Dodge/Chrysler, and he persuaded me to try it and I figured I have nothing to lose since I was still waiting.
The very first truck we drove was the one I bought(limited 2013's with options that appealed to me), I took it around the same loop, and just instantly fell in love. The Ram was unlike any truck Ive ever owned or even been in(and Ive driven a ton of trucks), it felt far more upscale, yet durable, it rode like a car, yet still had the traits of a truck(high tow capacity, payload).
I couldnt understand from that point as to why I was so negative towards the brand, it had everything in it that just made sense, and the little attention to details sealed the deal. I was blown away by the 8 speed tranny, and the rear coil ride, then we opened the hood(as I said before the small things Ive never seen on a half ton or smaller are what blew me away) and the hood was so light(aluminum) yet it had gas shocks and a hood lamp. I really could just keep going on and on about the little details(when you add things like the rear locking tailgate or pulse width modulation for the electronics, it shows you really arent just producing a run of the mill product anymore and you care about your reputation and customers) such as the locking tailgate electronically.
The icing on the cake was the fact that I got essentially a bumper to bumper warranty for life, that alone tells me how much trust they have in their product.
I NEVER in my whole life with every vehicle added up received so many compliments from one vehicle alone. Absolutely everyone loves this thing(Everyone Ive let drive it has told me theyve never been in a nicer truck, yet this thing is so under optioned COMPARED to what you CAN get), and understand why Ram will more than likely be go to truck for the coming years.
I am at work right now, so I will add pics later, but I just wanted to post about how I will always now give Ram/Dodge my second look(first will always be Nissan to me).
Sorry for such a long post, but I am thoroughly impressed.

Great to hear about a happy new owner that gave them a chance. They wont disappoint!
