Hello, Jolly here. I'm retired military and living in VA. With kids graduating, and picking up wood working, figured it was time to get a truck. And honestly, got tired of trying to keep the inside clean due to always hauling wood and yard "waste".

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn, Hemi 5.7 4X4.

First think I'm looking to do is tires, current size is 275/55/20. I've been trying to decided on 275/60 or 275/65, I'm not looking to get a lift or anything, just don't like the "low" profile tires look. Always looking for suggestions from more experienced folks.

Anyway, hello and I'm sure i'll be asking a lot of questions as time goes on.

I ran a 305/55 20 all terrain on my 1500 and it worked out great. Nice and fat looking, a little over 1" taller than stock.

Welcome to the forum! I get ya on hauling stuff inside a car or SUV, was tired of that as well so decided to get a truck. For towing a travel trailer as well. :D

I read that the tires/wheels that come with the truck are designed for the best mpg. If that’s the case, I’ll probably stick with the 275/55. Of note for me is that I drive mostly highway for work. Thinking of the Nitto but dunno.

You can get a leveling kit for $20-$60 and run all the way up to almost 35's I got my leveling kit on sale for $17 on American trucks, I'll be running 285-60-20 as soon as I wear out the stock tires at 10k miles

Hi. I put 275/60R20 on my Ram 1500. On a 2020, there was concern about going to 275/65's ... front could rub when steering wheel turned to extreme ... at least that's what the tire shop said. The 275/60R20s look great! Thanks.
