Got a set in tonight and had some fun playing with some silicone! :********:

Ok, not that much fun, but still.

These should look familiar - the shipping company attacked these bad boys, busted up the housing - so that is going to get swapped out. One of the LED rings also fell off, so it will get glued back in.

The one in the projector - I am not going to try to pull it out, not sure if its silicone'd in. LOL - I didn't even put these in the oven to open them. I knew that the housing isn't going to get reused, so eh? I took a razor blade to the silicone and a small screwdriver to pop the lens off the housing.

Nobody is perfect, headlights can be finicky ******* at times - especially the mounting tabs. Kinda need those!

Well, cost. A new set of these.......holy cow, they aren't cheap at all. I would hate to see the parts go to waste here. So, we picked up a new aftermarket housing for the parts to swap into. Put the bezel into the new lens, pop the bucket out and put it in the new housing, all set.

Its also a MUCH quicker way to do this - if I had my work area built downstairs (coming soon!), I would have had them done tonight. I can't be "loud" - ie, crack open a set of sealed headlights when the kiddo's room is so close to my kitchen table (work area right now - LOL).

fixed the mounting plastic thing......check out the silicone on these boogers

don't really "finish" the turn quite right.........not sure what brand these are (I think Flashtechs?)

put the bezel back in the lens, sealed it up, syran wrapped and she's in the box ready to go.

black silicone......and just enough to get into the grooves, no need for 1/4" line of that ****!
