Hi,

I wanted to fix the saggy front suspension on my Power Ram 250 from 1990. So I ordered some beefier springs at Rockauto (Husky sth.) It is rated for 1900lbs and has 6 leafs instead of the 3 original. Unfortunately the U bolts are too short now, as well as the studs in the front differential.

Can anyone tell me where to get these? I cant find them and I dont really know what exactly to look for.

And even though I probably should have asked earlier, but am I gonna run into problems with these new springs? One of my friends said, that its going to be very stiff, since they are much harder. Whats your opinions on that??

Thanks so much in advance.
I´m probably gonna be here a lot, since I have to fix a lot on this Truck. But I really love it so far:cool:

Btw, I´m german, so I cant just go to a dealer or o´reilys to get parts or ask someone.

Rockauto has ubolts too.

Those sound like Cummins or 1-ton springs. I swapped a used set onto a '90 Ramcharger. I find them acceptable. You could also consider selectively taking maybe 2 leafs out of yours.
