Hello all,
I have a 2019 1500 produced for the US market. Looks like it made its way to Canada then back to the US before I purchased it. My Uconnect works as expected (Maps/SiriusXM…etc) but my Uconnect has Canada software versioning. I contacted FCA about flashing it back to U.S. They told me to contact a broker. I asked them to elaborate but have not gotten a response. I’ve contacted Uconnect Canada,FCA U.S and Canada, they all confirmed from my ViN it’s a U.S. truck but no one can point me in the right direction of getting the US software. Any ideas? Also why would I need a broker? I’m not looking to import/export the truck.

Did you buy this from a dealer, or private sale. If you bought it from a dealer I would bring it back to them and have it flashed. They then can contact a broker if required to get the correct flash.

If a private sale, you can ask an auto auction house that deals with Canadien vehicles to help you find someone that can flash it.

The truck was probably built in the US,but to Canadian specifications, and was originally destined for Canada when it was new.Very few US trucks make their way up here,as the differance in the dollar doesn't make that feasable, but alot of Canadian destination trucks make their way back to the US because of the dollar.
Can't really help you on your Uconnect issues though,i'm sure there's a way it can be fixed, but how i don't know

What do you need Uconnect for ?

My first Chrysler product was purchased in January 2009.
I have not used Uconnect 1 single time
Why should anyone pay for Uconnect, when they have a perfectly good Mobile Phone ?

Sounds like where i learned to drive.
Drive across a Pasture or 3 to a Sand Pit
Then drive around in the sand pit, trying to keep from getting stuck

Around me if I go any direction other east or west I loose cell service in a few miles of home. I keep an old school GPS in the truck, so when I get to where I think I wanted to go, I can use it to really get there.

Around the farm in MO if I could get cell coverage I would fall out of my truck. We use GMRS radios to make sure we can phone home.

I love technology until I don't.

Well the new Ram have that crap GPS, called TOMTOM
If you have it, you could get lost in Dog Park

TOMTOM has always been worthless

It's likely the $hit service FCA buys from TomTom. I've never seen such a crappy GPS ever before my Ram truck.

I have an old stand-alone TomTom GPS, it's about 18 years old and 1000 times better than what's in my truck.

I used the old TomTom to get home from the other side of Ontario last fall after the Uconnect drove me insane with distractions and horrible directions going there.

Luckily, I knew better and ignored the crap directions on the way out.

Don't blame TomTom for the crappy NAV, blame FCA.

I should also mention, I tested all the big manufacturers before deciding on the TomTom many years ago.

I'm sure the products have changed over the years but back then, I strongly disliked all the other devices for one reason or another.

NOKIA, remember` the Camera Film company ?

Well they entered the GPS Navigation business
My 2009 Dodge Ram Nav system was GREAT!

It was called Navigation.com
I found the best thing about it, was that, i don't care how far back in the Boon Docks you drove, it left a Trail, to get out of the Boonies, you just turned where trail showed you to go ! It was better than stacking rocks at each turn :)
The next version was called NAV TECH i believe, there was nothing special about it.
Then they had HERE Navigation & that became
HereWeGo Navigation.

None of them showed alternative routing.
I would look at my Laptop at night in the Motel Room, until i bought Chryslers 1st Hot Spot
Back in 2009+ , i had Chryslers first Hot Spot, so i had Internet in my Dodge Ram way back then,
it was only 3G
:)

My Garmin has this option also my F150's Nav has the same function. It is called bread crumbs. They look like little turds behind you as you go.

Go to a dealer and they can help.
