on a half ton there are 2 little bullet type glass packs in the tail pipes right in front of the tips. i left those. to me it wasn't worth cutting up the tail pipes just to remove those little things. on my 14 2500 6.4 i have right now i've only removed the resonator because it looked awful. the little butterfly valve on the inside has been starting to rattle in the morning when the truck is cold. sounds terrible. if i keep the truck i'd replace the muffler hopefully with something that is a little louder than stock. the drone that comes with the louder muffler is to much for me when pulling my travel trailer.
