I purchased a 2014 1500 almost a year ago. It has the 5.7 HEMI with the 8spd transmission. For the most part the truck is stock, with the exception of the headers the previous owner put on, which I must say make it sound awesome. One thing that I've noticed is that there is a slight fluctuation in the RPMs when I am cruising down the highway. It does not seem to do it when sitting in park and at idle. I also noticed a slight shutter in the transmission. I notice that more when the ECO mode (which I hate) kicks in. Since all the manufacturers went to non-serviceable transmissions, I can't check the fluid, so I would hope there is a sensor that would tell me if it is low.
I've heard that the fluctuation could be from a failing MAP sensor, but I just haven't tried anything yet. It doesn't really seem to bother anything, as far as performance is concerned. The Transmission is more of a concern or is it just from the ECO mode.
