On the way home from work today I was stopped in traffic and got rear ended. The car behind me got hit by another at doing about 45 to 50 mph and they didn't even hit the breaks.

That sucks man, I hope everyone involved was okay though...hate days like that it is so normal down here in VA to see this by the military bases, i'm just lucky it hasn't been me! (knock on wood)

I was in a very similar situation. Hope you're feeling ok.
Don't be quick to say you feel fine, muscle injuries can take 24-36 hours to appear.

Be gingerly with your neck and back if you can for a couple of days.

that being said, the truck can be fixed easily.

Everyone was ok. Luckily no kids where in the car. Thank you for asking. Just a little sore. Unfortunately my frame bent from the impact. It could have been worse if I didn't have a tow hitch.

I feel for ya, my SRT10 was 2 days old when a kid in a civic went underneath it. Lucky the only damage for me was the Center fiberglass part of the rear bumper. Still cost the kids folks $800, this looks a little worse but sheet metal appears ok and most of all nobody was hurt.

Man that sucks. I hope the frame damage is easily fixable. Glad your ok! Might feel a little tender around your neck and shoulders tomorrow.

The frame should be able to be pulled my estimate was for about 4500.00 dollars

the downside of having tow hitches is exactly this, in an accident, the frame takes the full blow, rather than the impact dispersing on and around the bumper.
